The Countdown Begins for Urban Tech, The Urban Technology Show

Urban Tech 2026 – The Urban Technology Show, the new event dedicated to e-mobility, traffic, commuting, security, telecommunications & data, and the environment, will open on Wednesday, 7 October, at BolognaFiere and run until Friday, 9 October.

It is Europe’s first trade fair hub dedicated to the smart management of cities, urban areas, communities and territories, addressing challenges and identifying solutions in mobility, traffic, commuting, infrastructure, security, innovation, digitalisation, telecommunications, connectivity, resources, energy, sustainability and the environment.

Urban Tech 2026 brings together several international trade shows and conferences, including E-Tech Europe 2026 (advanced batteries and innovative technologies for the production and recycling of electric and hybrid vehicles for the automotive, transport and industrial sectors); E-Charge 2026 (the EV charging industry and market, charging points and stations, technologies and services); Traffic 2026 (traffic management, safety and enforcement, smart roads and smart cities, intelligent mobility, parking solutions, public and shared transport); and Wireless & Towers 2026 (transmission towers, strategic infrastructure, telecommunications technologies and equipment, broadcasting, satellite communications, security, smart cities and territorial management).

The event will welcome 208 exhibitors from 12 countries: China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Italy, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the United States, Switzerland and Taiwan.

The conference programme features a wide range of high-level discussions. Over the three days, topics will include the challenges facing wireless communications and their infrastructure, the Italian supply chain for energy storage equipment and systems, the Stati Generali della Ricarica (National EV Charging Forum), innovation in electric vehicles, new solutions for zero-emission urban transport, and artificial intelligence to support urban decision-making.

A special event scheduled for Thursday, 8 October, is Battery Day, the second edition of the conference dedicated to the battery industry, organised in collaboration with Battery Industry, a leading global industry platform with more than 100,000 followers on LinkedIn.

On 7 and 8 October, Urban Tech 2026 will also feature EXPÒL, a new thematic area dedicated to the professional development of Local Police officers and commanders, focusing on urban security management and organised in collaboration with IUSPol S.r.l.s., as well as secsolutionforum 2026 – The Innovative Event for the Security Industry, organised by Ethos Media Group.

Two other trade shows will take place concurrently: Asphaltica 2026 (road paving and construction, organised by Siteb) and SAIE 2026 (building and construction, organised by Senaf).
